Grazie a un rilevante apparato di documenti inediti, il volume assegna a tali artefici un ruolo di primo piano nello sviluppo dell’arte organaria quattrocentesca, osservata nell’affascinante percorso di transizione dai modelli gotici a quelli rinascimentali. / The volume presents the biography, work and working methods of the Dell’Alpa, a relatively unknown family of organ builders from Emilia, active in the vast area of the Po Valley between Lombardy and Romagna in the 15th century. A large apparatus of unpublished documents highlights the leading role these craftsmen played in the development of organ building in the 15th century, during the fascinating transition from Gothic to Renaissance models.
