AbstractContinental Drift is the chronicle of a body of work created by Peter Pettus from 1959 to 1990 in three distinct mediums: photography, pottery and painting. In explaining how this work came to be made, Pettus reveals the restless and relentless search that preoccupied him throughout these years. The nature of this search forms the heart of the book, reflected both in the text and the work.The book raises many issues. What is art and why? Where are we now and how did we get here?
